"To possess that charisma, that energy, that memory! Spellbinding ... a beautiful piece... Fantastic evening - wonderful!"

Amanda Bowman, BBC Radio Nottingham re Seven Deadly Sins at Nottingham Libraries StoryFest, March 2010.

A performance of gothic stories and song based around the English folk object "The Hand of Glory" - dark and twisted tales reconfigured like barbed wire:

A rash young thief languishes in jail, ruminating on the crimes he has committed.

"Open lock to the dead man's knock. Fly bolt, bar and band."

Three stories, three crimes...

"Neither move nor swerve, joint, muscle or nerve." punishment.

"To the spell of the dead man's hand."

And it all started with a deal that he made with what he thought was just a frail old woman.

Length - one hour.

Suitable for adult and young persons age 12 +.

"A macabre collection of chilling tales, cunningly knitted together
into a satisfying whole. A great show for the cold nights!"

Matthew Pegg, Mantle Arts, organiser Coalville Festival,
on seeing its first performance at Century Theatre, Coalville, 2018.
